Blackhawks acquire goalie Anderson from Blues
SportsTicker
The Chicago Blackhawks on Friday claimed the goaltender off waivers from the St. Louis Blues.
Anderson started the season with the Blackhawks and was 2-8-1 with a .866 save percentage and a 3.90 goals-against average. His last start was a 5-2 loss to Philadelphia on January 11.
The Boston Bruins claimed the 24-year-old off waivers from the Blackhawks on January 19, but he did not play in a game for them. Eleven days later, the Blues claimed Anderson from Boston, but he also did not suit up in St. Louis.
Anderson was 0-3 in six games in net for Chicago in 2002-03 and 6-14 in 21 games the following season.
Anderson will rejoin the Blackhawks for Saturday's game against Nashville.
To make room for Anderson, the Blackhawks assigned goaltender Corey Crawford to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
