Injuries halfway, a big trouble for Denver Broncos
By Alfred Johnson
Just a few days before the beginning of the NFL season, the Denver Broncos are having serious problems due to the regular players’ injuries.
Starting defensive Ebenezer Ekuban does remain out of the season due to a torn Achilles’ tendon and running back Travis Henry will not be able to play until the season opener.
Last Sunday Henry underwent a test, which confirmed a first-degree (least serious) sprain of the medial collateral ligament.
Over a week’s period the Broncos had some workouts in Dallas where the injuries started to show players like; Adam Meadows who had a severely strained calf, the rookie defensive end Tim Crowder and left guard Ben Hamilton stay out due to concussions, left tackle Ryan Harris had a back surgery and right tackle Jacob Rogers also has a knee injury.
The Broncos expect their bad situation to soon improve over the next weeks in order to have a good season start. Additionally, the coach asked the veterans’ support for the young linemen among which are found three of their four draft picks - Crowder, Jarvis Moss and Marcus Thomas.
