Cleveland Browns signed 3 new players; Thomas and Quinn out?
By Alfred Johnson
NFL Cleveland Browns have recently signed three new rookies for the 2007-2008 season but there is the question on whether offensive tackle Joe Thomas, quarterback Brady Quinn and the cornerback Erick Wright, will be left out as there has been no arrangement made with the players as of yet.
The new signees will be officially introduced at training camp next Friday. The remaining members of the team still have high hopes to also count with Thomas and Quinn and have them present on time before the kick off, but the contract matter seems to be more complicated and the players could be out for some time.
The one particular case is that of Thomas for whom the Browns are hesitant to pay $15 million or more for a tackle position. On the other hand, Quinn's agent will dispute that the player’s value is worth as if listed on the top 10 due to this his contract will certainly represent a struggle.
The Browns traded two draft picks, including one in the first round next year, to get the former Notre Dame QB, who tumbled in the first round after he was expected to go in the top 10. Also, center LeCharles Bentley mentioned that on Monday he will undergo a physical which he expects will allow him to get back on the field after the knee injury that threaten his football career almost a year ago.
