Tarver against Hopkins title fight

Antonio Tarver has an agreement to fight former boxer middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. 

 The boxing fight will be formally announced at a 4-city press tour to be kicked off Tuesday, March 21 in New York City followed by stops on Wednesday, March 22 in Philadelphia and Tampa/St. Petersburg and concluding on Thursday, March 24 in Los Angeles.

 "All the other stars are calling him out because Tarver has become a superstar," said promoter Joe DeGuardia, who likes the fact of unifying super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe and it is currently campaigning as a future potential. Antonio Tarver had a dominating victory last Saturday against Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy.

 Bernard Hopkins (46-4-1, 32 KOs) is not ready to retire yet and he has moved up from middleweight to fight world ranked no. 1 light heavyweight Antonio Tarver in this IBO and NBA light heavyweight title fight.
