Clemens in Great MLB Debut

Roger Clemens is all set to pitch for the New York Yankees next week.  Last Wednesday, Clemens did some practice at the Yankee Stadium and then did some additional promotion for the Yankees. 

That same day, manager Joe Torre said Clemens would begin Monday night, against the White Sox.  "So far, So good," said Clemens. "I got the word when I got out of the car today that Joe announced that it's Monday. I can plan accordingly now."

"Monday is good with him," Tower said.  "We' re looking forward to seeing him." 

The Yankees considered to have Clemens this weekend in Boston, after the victory obtained in the game against Toronto 10-5, leaving the Yankees 13 ½ play behind Boston. Chien-Ming Wang, Mike Mussina and Andy Pettitte were already scheduled to pitch at Fenway Park, Tower.

I suspect those guys will give me a lot of help and I'll try to give them all the help I can."  said Clemens

"I said I felt fine and would do whatever he wants me to do and whatever he needs me to do," Clemens said. "We were looking at the rotation and I realized that they looked like they're lined up pretty good for Boston."

Clemens is expected to join the Yankees after the Red Sox series.  Clemens, 44-year-old, has been in three minor league starts since he signed a prorated $28 million contract with the Yankees this month.
